I am always wondering what will show up online in our virtual world next… A friend of mine owns an art gallery, and told me about this online gallery, sort of like eBay, but for art! You can find it by visiting www.artFido.com - I will be offering my photo’s for sale on artFido, and maybe when I have limited run prints this is where I can sell them… hopefully it is a good place for a photographer to display their work!
I know, kind of silly really! I just thought it kind of looked like the Centrepoint Tower was a tulip… enjoy!
I find it inspiring to check out other photographers work, the internet has made it really easy to do just that. One of the best places to find active groups of photographers is Facebook. I have just joined a group called ‘I love photography’ and have found it to be a good place to share some pics, and to check out other photographers work from around the world.
This is not the first time I have posted this lighthouse. I really wanted to capture a lighthouse and decided that this was the one… especially considering it’s uniqueness. I actually arrived a little past the ideal part of sunrise, I usually like to catch the light just before the sun rises above the horizon… it this case I was really happy with the results… enjoy!
I have a trip booked for Beijing and I will be leaving in 37 days! I have been researching and where we are staying is within a short drive to about 9 really cool landmarks and attractions. I have no idea how to speak Chinese and I am looking forward to fumbling my way around the city as I take a few photo’s. I am actually there for a conference but will do my best to see if I can get out and about each day to explore.
I have lived in Sydney all my life and never knew we had such a cool glass house in the Botanical Gardens, I really like the rainbow of colours form the light refracting through the glass… enjoy!
I had a lot of people ask me how to create a HDR image, and whilst it is fairly simple, it isn’t easy to explain in a blog post. I have created a short video of me using Photomatix and explaining what I was doing during the process. HERE IT IS
I have done very little to enhance the colours in this photo, it was an amazing sunrise, in fact, the best one I have seen in 2012! Sometimes nature just ‘turns it on’ for me… luckily… it makes me look good!
I was at the Harbour one morning when I was lucky enough that two cruise ships were coming in together. I assume that the one on the left ‘Rhapsody of the Seas’ is too tall to fit under the bridge, it doesn’t look like the Dawn Princess cleared it by much…
