Resources

I thought it would be helpful to create a resource page that you can always come to for all of your photography needs. I’ll add to it as I find more. If you know of something that I should have on this page then shoot me a message.
Disclosure:  Please note that some of the links below are affiliate links, and at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you decide to make a purchase.  Please understand that I have experience with all of these companies, and I recommend them because they are helpful and useful, not because of the small commissions I make if you decide to buy something.  Please do not spend any money on these products unless you feel you need them or that they will help you achieve your goals.

My Favourites

Topaz Labs Coupon CodeTopaz Labs - If you have been following me for a little while you will know that I absolutely love my Topaz Labs plugins. If you could only have 2 Topaz Labs plugins, I would suggest Topaz Adjust and Topaz Clarity. I use these two the most. If you can grab the whole bundle you will not be disappointed. I really like the oomph they add to my images and they're a great bunch of people too! CLICK HERE and use the code: on3legs  to get 15% off.

Aurora HDR - My new favourite HDR software. If you're into HDR and you want software that is easy to use, and has been developed by the worlds leading HDR Photographer Trey Ratcliff the you can't go past Aurora HDR. CLICK HERE to download a free trial and see if you like it as much as I do!

Adobe Creative CloudAdobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan - I use and recommend Adobe Creative Cloud. I am sure you have heard of Photoshop, a lot of photographers will say they don't post process their images, personally, I doubt that it true. When you shoot RAW you need to use something afterwards to make your images pop. Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom are the best tools. I subscribe to the Creative Cloud Photography Plan. Photoshop CC Plus Lightroom desktop and mobile for just $9.99/mo.

Other Cool Stuff I Use

lenstag

Lenstag - Register all your photography gear here. This will help you locate it should it get stolen, and best of all, Lenstag is FREE to use! I have my gear listed and verified on their site and I get notified when my images are shared around the net too, I find it a good way to catch someone using my images without my permission, and I have heard stories of stolen gear being recovered as a result of using Lenstag. I interviewed the founder of Lenstag Trevor Sehrer about why he started Lenstag and why it will always be free! You can read the interview HERE.

The Photographer’s Ephemeris (TPE)

The Photographer’s Ephemeris (TPE) -  This is a great tool that you can use on your PC, Mac or smartphone. It helps you plan your shoots, particularly outdoors. You can see when and where the sun is going to rise or set. It uses google maps and overlays coloured lines on the map to show you exactly where the sun or moon will rise and fall. Very handy for working out what time you need to get out of bed for that sunrise shoot and where you need to be to get the best light.

My Other Projects

Oz Lens Rental

Oz Lens Rental - Australia Wide Lens and Camera Equipment Rental. As a photographer I would hear stories of disappointment in the options when it came to renting photography gear in Australia. Most places want you to leave hefty deposits and then you would have to pick up and drop off the gear to their shop that was miles from your home. It just didn't make sense to me that someone had not started an online rental service that delivered to your door and then let you drop the gear off at a post office when you're done, so I started Oz Lens Rental.
