Hasselblad Xpan

I have been looking for a panoramic film camera and considered getting a 6×17 format camera system, a 16×7 has a couple of issues… firstly, to get something decent I would need to spend between $4k and $10k, the second issue is these cameras are big and bulky! The final issue is the cost of buying film, scanning film and printing when realistically, I don’t need to print mural size pano’s (even though that would be kind of cool!)

After a bit of research I stumbled accross the Hasselblad Xpan. They no longer make them new (haven’t for about 10 years) so I had to find a good second hand one, and I hit the jackpot on ebay and scored a ‘mint’ condition xpan that had only 45 rolls run through it. Now I just have to wait for it to arrive then the learning curve of shooting slide film will start…

The Daily Pic – Twisted Tree

I was wandering through the gardens at Government House and walked passed this tree with the sun doing it’s best to poke through and had to capture it… I love the way the tree is twisted, the birds nest fern is also fantastic with the ‘star’ of the show being the sun… enjoy
